Be KIND

When's the last time you had a tasty snack that is kind to your body? The answer is probably not lately. Most snack foods, epically the ones college students consume are not "healthy". KIND however has made a snack that is not only tasty but good for your body.
Recently at ONU, our PRSSA group has been promoting KIND by doing a lot around campus. The most awesome thing they are doing is going around to the other organizations on campus, primarily the sports and exercise ones, and teaching the members some everyday things they can do to improve being kind to their bodies. While at these events, the PRSSA group is letting the organizations about KIND products and suggesting they eat these instead of some the other snack bars.
I have personally tried KIND bars, and unfortunately I was not impressed. It may have been the kind I tried but I did not like all of the ingredients. Although I did not like the first one I tried, I am willing to try a different type. I love that KIND bars have no GMO's, gluten-free, and made with simple ingredients. So if you have not tried one, go do so.

A Little Late....

Part V of Share This is focused on the future. Chapter 20 first talks about the skill sets we will need to learn. It all starts with a storyteller. Brands have a way for speaking to audiences through customer-customer conversation. These stories being told don't only allow for a wider clientele but it brings softer skills of diplomacy and tenacity in a more collaborative and competitive way. We then have to look to the content creator. Setting up your content is key. Whether its visual or a curation its important to notice what your audience wants to see. Visual content, such as pictures are great because they are more appealing to a larger variety of consumers. However the content curation is the genetic makeup of the social media world. The chapter ends by explaining how technology enthusiasts use the real-time tools to establish an efficient manner of answering to their customers. Through using social media analytics, the enthusiast can monitor their brands and their customer behaviors. Although technology is steadily increasing to bigger and better things, we all have to be wary. We will always be curious and even PR workers can get distracted by the latest "shiny technical object." So if PR is what you like, look to these three "people" because they are the ones that will guide your success and make you a jack of all trades in the field.

One Year.

Today (or roughly today) marks one year that things started going down hill in my life. One year ago if I would have reflected on where I would be I would not be thinking positive thoughts.
One year ago I had my first major break up. It was filled with tears and hate. Hate for what the other person put me through, and hate that I let myself get hurt. Today however I'm in a new place. I know that things happen the way they do to make you stronger. It is said that people come into our lives for a season, a reason, or a life time. Though I am still figuring out why he came into my life, I'm glad I had that experience.
One year ago was roughly when I changed my major. I am happy with this change but I still miss the thrill of my previous major. I would not have thought a year ago that I would be continuing my education to fight for the passion that burns inside me.
Over this past year I have learned more about myself than I have in the almost 22 years I have been living. I learned that I am a strong young lady that doesn't need the approval of a male. I learned that I am intelligent, despite the grades I get. I learned that I can do whatever I want to as long as I set my mind to it. The most important thing I learned is that I have the best support system a girl could have. My family and friends have helped me so much in the past year and I could not be more thankful. So thank you, to all have dealt with the whiney, inconsolable, irritating, annoying, and every other adjatiave you can think of to describe my behavior in the past year.
It has not been an easy year, but I can say for certainty, I wouldn't have made it with out you. So happy one year everyone.
