This past weekend I had the opportunity to travel to Cincinnati for a Region 5 Alpha Phi Omega convention. Alpha Phi Omega is a service fraternity with the cardinal principles of leadership, friendship, and service.Region 5 currently consist of universities in Ohio, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Kentucky. At the convention we had a magnitude of workshops to choose from, opportunities for service, and a lot of fellowship.
Our chapter here at ONU, Alpha Epsilon Beta, received two regional awards. The first was a Dimond level Chapter of Excellence award and the second was a Dimond level Pledge Program of Excellence award. It is such an honor to be apart of something bigger than the individual.
Overall I had a wonderful time at regionals and cannot wait for nationals next fall in Pittsburg.
Wow, I'm really proud of AEB for getting those awards. They've been working for those awards for the last four or five years and it's amazing that they've finally made it. Just goes to show how much hard work can pay off.
